Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, National Distinguished Expert, American Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Senior Advisor of the Expert Working Committee of the Think Tank of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) National Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform. He obtained a Bachelor's degree (1982) and a Master's degree (1985) from Nanjing University, and a Doctoral degree (1987) from Fudan University. He has successively engaged in polymer research at the University of Hamburg in Germany (Humboldt Scholar, 1990-1992) and New York University in the United States (Research Assistant Professor, 1992-1994). He once served as the Director of the NMR Center at the University of Akron in the United States (1994-2013) and the Chief Expert of Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry (2013-2018). Currently, he is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (since 2018), and an Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (since 2021). He has published 20 patents and 152 SCI-indexed papers in domestic and international academic journals.
