He is a Distinguished Professor under the National Talent Program, a Professor at the School of Economics, Fudan University, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee, a "Shuguang Scholar" and "Pujiang Talent" in Shanghai, and Deputy Director of the Department of World Economics. He serves as Vice President of the China Society for International Trade Studies and Standing Director of the China Society of World Economics. His main research focuses on international trade theory and empirics, as well as international trade policies. He has published a number of papers in top-tier academic journals at home and abroad. He has presided over major projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China, major projects of the Key Research Bases for Humanities and Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education, General Projects and Youth Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Planning Fund Projects of the Ministry of Education for Humanities and Social Sciences Research, among others.
