His research focuses on quantitative economics, statistics, and national economics. He has established the theoretical system of the Chromatographic Economic Analysis Method, and proposed the surrogate indicator evaluation method as well as the periodic theory of economic elements. He has presided over a major project of the National Social Science Fund of China and a number of provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects. He has published more than 150 papers in journals such as Nature Food and Statistical Research, and has edited 9 monographs and teaching materials including Statistics. He has won honors such as the Third Prize of the 10th Hubei Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award and one of China's Top 100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers. Currently, he holds positions such as Vice President of the Wuhan Municipal Association of Commercial Economics.
