Recipient of the National Major Talent Project, Vice President of the Academy of Science and Technology and Director of the Frontier Innovation Department of Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics). Winner of the "Science Exploration Prize", Newton Advanced Scholar, and "Outstanding Young Scholar in China's Engineering Frontiers" awarded by the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He serves as Director of the Unmanned Systems Professional Committee of the Chinese Institute of Command and Control, and Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Vehicle-Road Collaboration and Safety Control.
His main research focuses on autonomous driving, Internet of Vehicles, and vehicle-road collaboration. He has presided over 12 national-level projects, including the "Bidding for Key Tasks" key special project of the National Key R&D Program and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than 100 academic papers, 7 monographs, 2 textbooks, and 2 translated works; holds 51 authorized invention patents; and has won 14 scientific and technological awards such as the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and 5 teaching awards including the First Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award.
