Fan Yucheng was born in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province in March 1999. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology in 2021 and his Master's Degree in Civil and Hydraulic Engineering from Nanjing Tech University in 2024. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia.

Academic Achievements

Publications: He has published a total of 36 peer-reviewed SCI papers (88% of which are in JCR Q1 journals), with an H-index of 13. Among these publications, he served as the first author for 6 SCI papers and 1 EI paper (including 3 papers in CAS Tier 1 Top journals and 2 papers in CAS Tier 2 Top journals), which have been covered by relevant official WeChat accounts.

Patents: As the first inventor, he has filed 4 invention patent applications, 2 of which have been authorized.

Research Fields: His research interests include intelligent composite materials, structural vibration control, micromechanics, and AI-aided intelligent material design.

Academic Experience & Projects

During his undergraduate studies, he led the "Jiangsu Provincial College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program" project, which was approved as a provincial-level project and successfully concluded.

As a student participant, he took part in his supervisor's "National Overseas High-Level Young Talents Program" project and "Jiangsu Provincial Double Innovation Program" project, responsible for establishing material performance prediction models.

He has attended international conferences such as the 12th Asia-Australia Conference on Composite Materials and the 2023 International Conference on Intelligent Material Design.
