Chu Sheng Qi
Professor and Doctoral Supervisor

Dr. Qi received his doctoral degree through a joint training program between Northwest A&F University and Washington State University (USA), and completed his postdoctoral research at the Research Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry.
Currently, he serves as Director of the Wood Composites Teaching and Research Section and Director of the CSCEC-BFU Wood Structure Design Center. He also holds concurrent positions, including Member of the Technical Committee on Wood and Composite Structures under the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization, and Member of the Wood Structure Committee of the Architectural Society of China.
His main research focuses on engineered wood and bamboo materials, wooden structure buildings, and other related fields. He has presided over more than 10 national and ministerial-level scientific research projects, such as sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program during the 14th Five-Year Plan and 13th Five-Year Plan periods, and General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published over 20 papers indexed by SCI/EI and edited 2 ministerial-level planned textbooks.
He has won honors including the Distinguished Teacher Award and Top 10 Outstanding Class Teachers of Beijing Forestry University. He adheres to the four-dimensional interactive teaching philosophy of "student-centered learning" and "integration of industry, academia, research and application".
