Hong Liu , Ph.D., is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Human Resource Management. He graduated from Nanjing Machine Manufacturing School (now Nanjing Institute of Technology) with a major in Automatic Control in 1982. In 1989, he graduated from Hefei University of Technology with a master's degree in Management Engineering. In 1996, he graduated from Wuhan University of Automotive Technology (formerly Wuhan Institute of Technology, now Wuhan University of Technology) with a doctoral degree in Management Science and Engineering. In 2000, he completed his postdoctoral research in Business Administration at Nanjing University. From 1982 to 2001, he served as a teaching assistant, associate professor, professor, and doctoral supervisor at Hefei University of Technology, and was awarded the "Funding Program for Key Teachers in Institutions of Higher Education" by the Ministry of Education and the "Training Program for Cross-Century Academic Leaders in Universities Affiliated to the Ministry of Machinery Industry". Since 2002, he has been a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Business School of Nanjing University, and has successively served as the director of the Department of Business Administration, vice dean of the Business School, dean of the School of Management, and secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School. Currently, he also holds positions such as chairman of the Jiangsu Human Resources Society, member of the National Teaching Steering Committee for Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programs, and member of the China High-Quality MBA Education Accreditation Committee. He was awarded the "Outstanding Young Teacher" and "Middle-aged and Young Academic Leader" in the "Blue Project" of Jiangsu Province (2004), a third and second-level training object of the "333 Project" of Jiangsu Province (2011), included in the "New Century Excellent Talents Program" of the Ministry of Education (2005), and received the Special Government Allowance from the State Council (2010).
He has presided over 7 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (including 1 key project) and 2 projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China, as well as several consulting projects for Jiangsu Province, Anhui Province, the Ministry of Education, and enterprises. He has published more than 100 papers in important academic journals such as *Journal of Organizational Change Management*, *Chinese Management Studies*, *China Industrial Economics*, *Journal of Management Sciences in China*, *Management World*, *Studies in Dialectics of Nature*, *Chinese Journal of Nature*, *Studies in Science of Science*, and *China Soft Science*. Many of his papers have been fully reprinted in *Xinhua Digest* and *Renmin University Photocopy Materials*. He has published works and textbooks such as *Theoretical Research on Organizational Transformation in a Changing Environment*, *Management of Organizational Complexity*, and *Compensation Management*, which have been awarded national planned textbooks and national excellent textbooks. He has also won the second prize of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the first, second, and third prizes of Jiangsu Provincial Excellent Social Science Achievements, and the third prize of Excellent Social Science Achievements of the Ministry of Education. His research results have been reported to Party and state leaders twice in the form of "Achievement Briefs" and introduced twice in *Guangming Daily*. He has been invited to attend important academic activities such as the "Xiangshan Science Conference", the "Sino-French Bilateral Scientists' Forum on Complexity Science", and the "Sino-German Forum on Evolutionary Economics". He has studied and worked as a visiting professor at Harvard Business School, Cornell University School of Management, and Tel Aviv University (TAU) in Israel. He has participated in the Second Management Research Methods Workshop of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's Hang Lung Center for Organizational Research and the Fourth Sino-Canadian Doctoral Program at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Currently, he teaches courses such as *Human Resource Management*, *Principles of Management*, *Organizational Change and Development*, *Management of Organizational Complexity*, and *Compensation Management* for undergraduate, graduate, EMBA, MBA, and EDP students.
